Today’s Jesus and Mo strip, called “cheers,” isn’t particularly religious, but surely expresses the feelings of many people. (I for one will make no resolutions!) I don’t think the “booze is always bad for you” issue is yet settled, anyway.
Jesus ‘n’ Mo ‘n’ booze

I’ve cut back considerably. It is a false dichotomy to choose to imbibe as one used to, or to not imbibe at all. There is always the compromise. The middle road.
I thought alcohol was banned under Islam.
I know it is for my Christian denominations as well, leading to this joke:
Why should you always take two Baptists with you when you go fishing?
Because if you take just one, he’ll drink all your beer, but if you take two they won’t drink any.
typo: should have been “many” not “my”. I’m not and never will be a Baptist.
You had us worried there.
Do as the Prophet says, not as he does.
But, but, but… this just in. You can counteract the deathly effects of alcohol by drinking coffee in the morning:

Decades of attempts to vilify coffee have determined that it’s actually good for you!
Toxins liquid and verbal. One is more fun and tastes better than the other.
I’m sure it is bad for you, but it’s also one of the enjoyable things in life. Everything in moderation.
Curious what your thoughts are on this report. What other body of work should we consider to assess how solid and settled this is?
