Clearly Mo is a Democrat! But of course, anybody who wishes that Trump had been killed is morally off the rails, though I’ve heard that from a few people.

The arguments are like those thoughts that sneak in when we’ve moved past the thin veneer of civilization to our most basic animal instincts. But assigning the murderous side of our nature to the God of Islam jumps the shark for me.

It’s a joke that wouldn’t make sense the other way round. I don’t know how many or how few people really wished the shooter hadn’t missed the orange slug, but I’m quite sure many more will have made a similar joke to a friend.

Perhaps it’s just me, but maybe my p.o.v. was warped by a few too many celebratory “fist-pumps” in the air whilst the Secret Service agents tried to protect the “hero” as they hustled him toward the vehicle nearby. It’s too reminiscent of the event when someone took a folding-chair to his “victim” and “beat” him until security had to step in.
