Jesus ‘n’ Mo ‘n’ Trump

Today’s Jesus and Mo strip, called “Trump“, came with a short summary: “God wants you to stop projecting your own desires onto him.”

Clearly Mo is a Democrat!  But of course, anybody who wishes that Trump had been killed is morally off the rails, though I’ve heard that from a few people.

  1. The arguments are like those thoughts that sneak in when we’ve moved past the thin veneer of civilization to our most basic animal instincts. But assigning the murderous side of our nature to the God of Islam jumps the shark for me.

    1. It’s a joke that wouldn’t make sense the other way round. I don’t know how many or how few people really wished the shooter hadn’t missed the orange slug, but I’m quite sure many more will have made a similar joke to a friend.

  2. Why did god hate the firefighter Corey Comperatore who died? Couldn’t he have deflected that bullet from him? Is giving to his gofundme a sin?

  3. This reminds me of my favorite Trump quote: “I have done more for Christianity than Jesus.”

Fake, of course, but one can totally imagine him saying that.

  4. Mo’s comment in the second frame regarding projection largely sums up religion in its entirety.

  5. Although the golden (false) idol, No. P01135809, (sometimes known as their orange Jesus), IS mistakenly worshipped by brainwashed MAGA cultists, their is absolutely no way Jesus would support a bully, women abuser, wife cheater, habitual liar, threatener, and someone hell bent on retribution and revenge!

  6. Xtians are so anxious to get to heaven, there are many ways to get there
asap, so what are they waiting for ? As a advertisement sign at the entrance to a cemetery said “people are just dying to get in here”

  7. If god missed the head, s/he is a lousy shot. The teleprompter is my witness.

  8. Perhaps it’s just me, but maybe my p.o.v. was warped by a few too many celebratory “fist-pumps” in the air whilst the Secret Service agents tried to protect the “hero” as they hustled him toward the vehicle nearby. It’s too reminiscent of the event when someone took a folding-chair to his “victim” and “beat” him until security had to step in.
