      1. I still say that Mo drinks Coke from a pint glass. Islam completely eschews ethanol.

        1. That has never stopped them. Barely even slowed them down.
I was just seeing a telly programme on the art of Al Andalus, starting off in the cellars of the Alhambra, where the Moriscos knew the good end of a tap from the bad end of a spile.

    1. Thank you for the link to the Steve Novella. article.
The article was very interesting however the replies and counter replies, arguments for and against were much more interesting and enlightening.
It took me some time to read through all the posts hence my delay in responding.

  1. It seems fitting to leave the first amendment laws in place. There is a difference in expression against proclaimations based on intuition and expression of intent to develop a cult for the means of mass genocide. It’s easier to bury the distinctions and to not examine for whatever reasons they exist in the first place. One day maybe we won’t need religion or warped leaders or laws to tell us how to treat each other with respect and love. The founding father’s got us this far.

  2. SJWs–and others as well–wouldn’t de-platform the barmaid, they’d dox her and demand that she quit or be fired.

They often do undermine themselves politically (in order to position themselves high on the virtue list of their group), because they make ridiculous claims and try to restrict the freedom of others, but they’re not going to merely leave people alone at a cost to themselves, they’re out to replace all who oppose them.

  3. I once had a dilemma and the answer was not to engage and both our lives i think, were better off.
It was not without the mild tension of avoidance but with the common ground of decency, it works, or at least for me 🙂

  4. Or have a fatwa posted on your behind as an apostate.

My favorite character is the barmaid, but then I have always favored the working class.

  5. “No platforming” + “bar” makes me think of someone being told to stop dancing on the table. I’m firmly against no platforming. 🙂
