Oh, those are nice. I especially like the last one.
This reminds me, but I recently saw an episode of Nature on PBS about the author of one of our favorite books H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald. This episode, which is narrated by the author, documents how she trained a second goshawk 10 years after her first one. It is a wonderful tale and I strongly recommend it.
I saw that too over here on the Beeb. Her book is/was a best seller.
T H White’s The Goshawk was a fave read for me way back – his training of a hawk.
Gorgeous, crisp, Stephen!
Great!
Im just happy to get a pic of a hawk on my porch

I second that – great work, Stephen.
I saw the doc too, and it was very touching and fascinating. (Here’s blurb about it:

Great photos. The top photo really shows the detail on each feather…The feathers at the lower belly look so soft, fine and wispy.
Fabulous! Gorgeous pics.
Magnificent — especially the second photo!
