  1. Based on what we know of the natural world, the data shown should have much higher resolution than what ‘The Data’ suggests. A more accurate representation would be the word ‘EVOLUTION’ spelled out by points so closely packed one could hardly see the difference between the points and the letters they spell out.

      1. I think the point is that the evolutionary trail is not perfect, there are gaps; but logic fills them in one way, creationists in another.

  2. What a pleasant start to the day; this one will be used again!

While I was trying to copy and save it, I stumbled on a Twi**er site. Since, fortunately, I don’t know how to use Twi**er, I’m unable to create hot links here, but if you go to https://twitter.com/Gr8Darwinians near the top of the page are two really nice memes, one in which anti-Trump forces channel Martin Niemoller, and one with the punch line, “and you ask why I’m heathen?”

  3. I note that the scientist’s interpretation of the data includes ALL the data points, and avoids long leaps which avoid parts of the data set for no readily apparent reason.
One might wonder which group might be prone to quote-mining, selective quotation, and other intellectually dishonest practices.

  4. And inevitably someone has written, immediately below:

“Come on its much worse than that! But it’s NOTHING to do w atheism vs belief – it’s science vs anti-science”

Nothing. Nothing whatsoever. Of course. People are just “anti-science” for some reason. That’s the end of the story.

Luckily though, this was back in May last year so it’s far too late to be tempted into a pointless Tw**er dispute.
