That is, a life in which you could win a million dollars without being beheaded.
Here’s an amusing skit that was apparently on last week’s Saturday Night Live. Contestants were asked to draw He Who Can’t Be Drawn. And yes, that’s Reese Witherspoon on the left:
h/t: Mehul
Apparently this is identical to a sketch created by a Canadian show This Hour has 22 Minutes.
Which may well have been nicked from a Canadian show

The original is Fae better, IMO.
It looks like SNL stole the skit from a Canadian show, the CBC’s “This Hour Has 22 Minutes.”

Been pipped by three commentators!
4!!!
I wonder how many folks are going to inform PCC of this without reading the rest of the comments. Tee hee.
If you look at the times, we were all posting at the same time.
like it
As the previous commenters have mentioned, SNL plagiarized “This Hour has 22 Minutes” skit. If you want to post about this skit, you should drop the SNL version and promote the original. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgXj23LRI94

Well, I prefer the Canadian version because it’s the only one I was allowed to watch. I can never access the SNL clips.
Oscar Wilde — ‘Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.’
Or as Fred Allen once noted, “Imitation is the sincerest form of television.”
“Okay, maybe my dad did steal Itchy, but so what!? Animation is built on plagiarism! If it weren’t for someone plagiarizing The Honeymooners, we wouldn’t have The Flintstones. If someone hadn’t ripped off Sergeant Bilko, there’d be no Top Cat. Huckleberry Hound, Chief Wiggum, Yogi Bear? Hah! Andy Griffith, Edward G. Robinson, Art Carney.” Roger Myers, jnr. The Simpsons episode “when the violence died”
And with out Senator Claghorn, there would be no Foghorn Leghorn.
“That’s a joke, son”
“Pay attention now, boy”
An encouraging sign, I think, that this kind of satire is on mainstream TV. I hope, at least, that this signals some pushback to the general approach of “censor ourselves out of deference to the poor hurt sensibilities of downtrodden Muslims”.
True, they didn’t draw him, but they did get the jab in that we’re capitulating to thugs.
Once you’ve become the butt of jokes…
How long until Muslims complain that saying that you can’t draw Mohammed is “hate speech?”
Wouldn’t it be nice if they could just progress to needing a trigger warning?
Warning! Possible offense ahead. Please disengage the safety and place your finger ON the trigger.

But surely life IS like that! And I shall invoke the wrath of the non-existent gods by asking Prof CC how his back is, and commenting that today looks like fine weather for a helicopter flight.
It is blocked from my viewing, must be where I live. Middle East. ha ha
Nah, blocked in NZ too. Don’t blame the muslims, blame the RIAA. 🙂
