Tuesday: Hili dialogue

January 20, 2015 • 4:56 am

Tuesday is the cruelest day, as the whole week stretches bleakly ahead. Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili, the Lion in Winter, makes a pun (do you get it?):

Malgorzata: Why are you trying to get loose?
Hili: You’ve carried me in and now I can be unbearable.

In Polish:
Małgorzata: Czemu się wyrywasz?
Hili: Już mnie przyniosłaś, teraz mogę być nieznośna.

    1. Nonsense!

      🙂

What is all this Porfessor Ceiling Cat gloom???

“the whole week stretches bleakly ahead” – that IS LIFE! Embrace the gloom! Sadly (for me!) London has, once again, blue-skes…

      1. Porfessor??? I am a typo-disaster! It would help if I could type properly & read what I write before clicking ‘post’ or ‘send’!

      1. I think it was because it is winter, cold, & Xmas bills are rolling in. St least that is what I heard on the radio.

        1. Actually, I bet it has more to do with some low-ranking hack in some news publication needing to justify his job. Probably the same guy who tells us which night of the year you’re most likely to wind up on the couch, when you shouldn’t go bowling, how this one weird food can reduce your mortgage, and so on.

  1. I’ll note that we’ve not seen Cyrus in pictures since he told Hili to “piss off” the other day.

  2. re The Pun … … perhaps:

Poland’s (somewhat portly) Princess Hili, often from a spot upon a clearly visible windowsill, makes it known to her staff that she i) is, for some moments’ henceforth, done with her outdoors’ sashaying – about and, ii) therefore, requires being immediately borne inside by one of them, either by Ms Malgorzata or by Mr Andrzej or by one of Princess Hili’s compliant subjects who have come there a – calling.

Thereupon the specific staff member having carried out Mz Hili’s directive to this stage in today’s pix, Mz Hili now decrees that that physical bearing of Her Majesty from that outdoors’ point to this one is not without either i) her indoors’ dancing – about within the staff member’s arms, as she so wishes or ii) her piss – off countenance and demeanor, if and when she, as well, so wishes.

    Not ?
