Wednesday: Hili dialogue

December 24, 2014 • 3:45 am

It’s Christmas Eve, and I hope you all somewhere with loved ones, safe from the maddening, last-minute crowds.

We have a double treat from Dobrzyń today, as there is not just a Dialogue, but also a letter from Hili to her readers.

A: What are you doing there?
Hili: What do you mean what am I doing here? I’m waiting for presents.
P1020133
In Polish:
Ja: Co ty tam robisz?
Hili: Jak to co? Czekam na prezenty.
To read Hili’s letter, head over to Listy. It is far more inspiring than most heads of state usually manage.

  1. Enjoyable letter Hili – thank you.

As an atheist, anti-Christian, anti-theist, atheist ex-Catholic with Irish roots the “Les Petits Chanteurs a la Croix de Bois [PCCB]” singing that cat song [in the link] is actually not funny – it’s a horrible thing…

But this being Christmas – to everyone near & far I wish good food & wine + loving [& loved] company.

Entirely free from the bullshit & fear.

    Peace x

      1. I liked the cat song, but every time I see choir boys, I wonder how many are silently suffering some form of abuse.

        1. Yes. And meanwhile the Holy See plays their games – blocking the release of documentation held at the Vatican – saying priests are not employees of the Vatican but citizens of countries where they live. The RCC continues to wait for involved priests, Bishops [inc. the ex-Pope hiding in the Vatican] & witnesses to grow old & die. Meanwhile only a tiny % of cases are going to law in open court. Shameful.

  2. My dad used to tell a slightly shorter version of Hili’sCatholic/Jewish joke, with the punchline being:

catholic: what do you expect, Jesus Christ?
Jewish: one of our guys made it.

  3. A purring solstice to everyone!

(The days are already getting longer! [For some of us, anyway.])

Also–cool picture; took me a while to figure it out. 🙂
