Why Evolution is True is a blog written by Jerry Coyne, centered on evolution and biology but also dealing with diverse topics like politics, culture, and cats.
Hopefully that weather man isn’t planning on a career in stand-up comedy.
I’m surprised he didn’t say it went to “bug heaven”.
Sunday morning news: Weather services adopt biology in order to deliver bug free reports.
This is wholly off topic, but does involve another attack. I wasn’t sure how draw attenion to it:
‘The attack on the US consulate in Benghazi happened because the Libyan government is still weak, rebuilding after its revolution against Muammar Qaddafi. But there was no doubt that the new government was a friend of the US ambassador who was killed, Chris Stevens, or that it would mobilize to deal with the cells of the Ansar al-Shariah extremists that launched the attack. Pro-America demonstrations regretting the attack on the consulate have been held all over Libya.’

Since we’re already off-topic, fans of golf may enjoy the religious cage-rattling I’m doing on the PGA Tour’s website.
The forum I linked to above (contained in the Tour Report section, where readers are encouraged to comment about posted articles) is about Ben Crane, an evangelical Christian golfer who isn’t shy about broadcasting his silly beliefs on television and Youtube. I’ve been waging similar battles in forums about the Christian Master’s champion Bubba Watson, and in some cases, even in the discussions about Tiger Woods, who is reportedly a Buddhist. (I let Tiger slide, mostly.)
Come on in if you like, the water is fine!
And there I was hoping for a Philadelphia replay of “The War of The Worlds”. Or at least, “Mars Attacks”.
Via Pittsburgh’s spider expert, Jonathan Pruitt, currently in DK:

LMFAO
“That was the end of that bug there.”
