  1. Yeah, I spend most of the time cringing watching those videos, as all I can think of are cat claws scratching the hell out of a poor iPad screen.

    Vaal

  2. The cat was clearly changing its playing style during the video. At first it’s just stabbing and lunging at everything in sight, but by the middle of the video it watches a bit and then pounces. (Probably the watching is why it eventually lost the game.)

A reaction to not actually catching anything? “OK, that didn’t get me any tasty critters, let’s slow down and make sure we get one.”

    1. My cat does the same thing with the mylar teaser: all over it for the first 15 or 20 seconds, then switching to a stalk-and-pounce strategy. I’ve always assumed it’s because the all-out approach is unsustainable over the long haul.

  3. When I looked, the commercial preceeding it was even cuter! A man walking up to a woman in their office setting looked to be wearing beige mukluks. The woman complimented him on his “boots”, and he replied, “They’re not boots. They’re my cats.” Camera to cats: Two fluffly looking seal points (Himalayans?) are clinging to his lower legs, looking cute as can be! Why? They want more Temptations treats.

  4. To all the people saying that the cats could scratch the screens, it would be incredibly difficult for the cats to scratch the glass screens with their claws. Now, the home button and sides could potentially get damaged, but that’s it. Also the plastic screen protectors will get torn up by the cats quite easily.

In short, please let your kitty play games on your tablet! Mine seem to enjoy it thoroughly.

  5. I always thought the iPad, iPhone made use of “Gorilla Glass”…very tough stuff.

  6. This is a great values clarification exercise – I love my cat, however she only gets analogue toys – the iPad is sacred!
