I used to put out bird feed. Then more birds came, so I put out more food, so more birds came…
We had what hubby called, ‘welfare possums’ (the squirrel of Australia). And the damn things, although cute are great breeders – so we wound down the feeding, as they are territorial, nocturnal and have their political fights at night.
