U really love cats
Interesting that the cat seems to prefer the old cardboard box to all that plush stuff…my kind of cat.
I’ve found that cats (dogs & children too) are often more attached to the packaging than to the toys it contains. One of my cat’s favorite possessions is an old-fashioned paper grocery bags.
What is it with cats and defined spaces? Entire comfy duvet available for spreading out on, and the cat in inexplicably drawn to balance on the CD case lying on the bedspread. Or the one piece of paper lying on the coffee table. And not to forget the ultimate defined space – the cardboard box (illustrated quite well in the picture above).

Thank you for your educational articles you publish daily . I would like to know as one of your followers from South Africa if there has ever been a single discovery from any scientific disciplines that ever in anyway contradicted Darwinian theory and fact of evolution? In addition I came across a documentary on YouTube called “the sign of existence of god ” that claimed modern molecular biology have refuted Evolution . How true is that Mr Coyne ?

Evidence that contradicts an hypothesis is not necessarily definitive unless it contradicts a fundamental premise. Smaller contradictions can be absorbed as further data are accumulated. Darwin himself was unaware of genetics so he had to suppose something like genetics would be discovered. And it was.
So, modern molecular biology could be said to have influenced the way Darwinian evolution is now viewed. However, it does not contradict Darwin’s key premises, it merely enhances the detail of our understanding of the process of inheritance.
