Not at all. No amount of accommodation will change their minds. I’ve lost any respect for their opinions anyway.
That’s not the problem, though, is it? Accommodation requires not criticizing Christian beliefs.

Not at all – period!
Until Christians practice accommodation toward other religious views, agnostics, and atheist I can see absolutely no reason why they should receive preferential treatment. To suggest otherwise is similar to suggesting that we shouldn’t talk about racism so as not to make white people uncomfortable or not talk about feminism so that we don’t make men uncomfortable.
Absolutely not! The movement is working so let it do its magic! The internet and atheist-themed books have de-brainwashed millions of fairy tale and science fiction believing adults.
Now we just need evolution to be taught with Coyne’s book as the main text in high school. When I was in 10th grade biology I don’t remember hearing a peep about evolution…I know this is a slightly embarrassing confession but I barely knew what it was a year ago!
I used to be a christian and held the fairly fundamentalist views i’d heard asserted from my minister as being true. If I was talking to a christian now ,I would ask them if they have ever looked at the list of books their minister has read. They might be surprised to see that their minister has read widely but been very selective in the information they reveal to the church i.e only stuff which supports the church creed. They are doing a job and try to keep within the party line.
I would also point out that archbishops and leading apologists probably have heard the main reasons supporting evolution and the reasons to think there are no gods. You can see such debates on youtube. So for your own maturity and balance how about emulating your leaders and at least be educated as to the whole argument. As Freud said, ” belief is an illusion “. If you start in Christianity and know little of the skeptical argument or even the variations between denominations then maybe you rate the claims about supernatural intervention in the bible as very likely. If you’ve heard the detailed reasons against supernaturalism, you still know the Bible stories, it’s just that your rating of them fades to “unlikely or creative writing, fantasy fiction, misinterpretation of coincidences”
