Sunday: Hili dialogue

October 9, 2022 • 6:30 am

Good morning on Sunday, October 9, 2022. We continue with the short-form Hili dialogues, but readers are invited to note historical events or births and deaths that happened on this day from the October 9 Wikipedia page.

Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili is giving up pessimism, but I don’t believe her:

Hili: I have good news.
A: What’s that?
Hili: Today I gave up looking for bad news.
In Polish:
Hili: Mam dobrą nowinę.
Ja: Jaką?
Hili: Zrezygnowałam dziś z szukania złych wiadomości.

And here’s baby Kulka atop what looks like a sculpture:

  1. Several men’s birthing day be … … 09 October: https://ffrf.org/news/day.

    SO helpful … … thus:

“ For most of my life, I’ve been, ‘ Hey, I’m not into it,
but I respect your right to believe whatever you want ‘.

But as time goes on, weirdly, I’m growing less liberal.
I’m more like, ‘ No, religion is ruining the world, you need to stop ! ’ ”

  2. Shades of last week’s NASA/APL DART asteroid impact: on Oct 9, 2009, the LCROSS spacecrafts part of which was the second stage (Centaur) rocket of the Atlas V which put the LRO (lunar reconnaissance orbiter) into orbit around the moon earlier in the year, carried out a planned impact on the moon which was followed six minutes later by a small companion craft photographing the impact, flying through and analyzing the ejected plume of lunar regolith, and sending the collected data back to Earth before itself crashing into the surface. Sorry this is so late in the day, but I was tied up earlier.
