Phone booth prank

March 24, 2021 • 2:00 pm

This is a new version of the old Candid Camera pranks, but better. It involves a Universal Studios phone booth offering free pictures, along with a live human masquerading as a robot voice. To me, at least, this is hilarious.

The “please use less tongue” command at 1:55 made me laugh out loud, which I rarely do. Same with the B&D bit at 9:30!

Do watch the whole thing. Whoever the woman is who makes up these spontaneous bits, she’s very clever.

    1. Agreed. Hilarious. I loved the one with the old couple when he pretends to feel her up. The “tongues” was good too.

  1. Haha, free phone. When I lived in Paris (before internet) there was a public phone not far from the US Embassy where you could call anyone in the US by just picking up the handset. There was a long line of American kids waiting in front of it for a free call. This lasted for a few weeks until the phone was disabled.

  2. Where can you pick up one of those Afghan riding crops?

Asking for a frien … oh, hell, asking for myself. 🙂

  3. This is a compilation of bits from the Late Late Show with James Corden. The spontaneous banter between Corden and his studio people in the earlier part of the show is always worth catching.

  4. Memories of Allan Funt from the 1970s: “SMILE! You’re on candid caaamera!”
Classic. It was a beige time, a time of macramé bean bags, a more innocent time. 😉

  5. If you look in the lower left corner, you’ll see this is an old Tonight Show with Jay Leno bit w/ a photo booth. I recognized it (I’m 73).

  6. To be honest, I was expecting the “27 students in one phone box” (or it’s close relative, “27 students in a Mini”) stunt. And it seem like the “robot” actor was going to take that opportunity when it came along.

Never trust a man with an Afghan riding crop.
