Today we have a trio of videos (yes, one more than normal, but I’ll let it pass) from Michael Botwin, a professor in the Department of Psychology at Cal State Fresno. His words are indented:
Thank you for WEIT, your posts are often a highlight of my day. I am somewhat answering your call for pictures. Our student government group asked some faculty members to submit a congratulatory video for our graduating seniors. With the help of my wife, Vicki, and a fishing rod we made this 20 second that has gone a bit viral locally. I thought WEIT readers may find it amusing.
When I asked about the fishing line, he said this:
My wife was off camera (almost, you can see her hands in the upper right corner of the video) holding the fishing rod with a piece of line attached to my cap. Nothing like high-tech special-effects!
But wait! There’s more!
While I was at it I also posted an early pandemic greeting to students in my department while surrounded by my flamingos in my yard.

Dang, not sure which one the sight of all those flamingos makes me miss more — Hialeah Race Track or the John Waters movie.

🙂 We have almost as many of these flamingos in our yard. They are hard to find in stores, and many of them are very very old.
