In Poland, Hili has a solution:

A: Hili, I can’t read this way.
Hili: Enlarge the letters on the screen.

In Polish:

Ja: Hili, ja tak nie mogę czytać.
Hili: Powiększ sobie litery na ekranie.

Down on the farm, there is a fabulous sunrise and a noisy rush hour:

An amazing murmuration:

And some good news!

  1. Public hearings into the impeachment of president Donald Trump get underway today before the Intelligence Committee of the US House of Representatives beginning at 10 am EST. The hearings will be carried live by all the major broadcast and cable news networks and around the internet for those interested.

As anyone who’s ever been involved in any type of trial knows, the key to persuasion is to present a “theory of the case” that can be boiled down to a single sentence. Well, here goes: Donald J. Trump abused the power of his office for personal gain by shaking down Ukraine to provide dirt on a political opponent to help him in the 2020 election, and also to legitimize his 2016 election, by threatening to withhold military aid Ukraine desperately needed to survive its war with Russia, the nation that helped Trump “win” in 2016.

    1. That’s a good summation. Though I might change “provide dirt” to “provide or make-up dirt”.

I saw a petition this morning (I never sign these useless e-petitions, but they do provide some news). This particular petition was to persuade PBS to show the hearings during prime time (like they did with Watergate) and not just show them live as most people are working during this time.

      1. It’s not clear whether Ukraine would have been required to find or invent any “dirt.” Simply announcing, loudly and publicly, the start of the investigation was all that was asked for, and would have been all that was needed.

After all, as he learned from Comey, Clinton, and the email “scandal,” the existence of an investigation is enough to do damage even if it never turns up a single indictable crime.

        1. Yes, you’re right. Trump just wanted an announcement. Glad he didn’t get it, and he would have if the whistle blower didn’t come forth. It will make a good movie one day…well “good” depends, but definitely a movie.
