Yes, aren’t we special. Hardly.
Some day, we might be special in being the only species known to have destroyed the planet that created them.
The planet will be fine.
It’s us I worry about.

There could be a civilisation of ice-cave dwellers several superclusters over saying the same thing….
Would they have there own “Creator”?
Yes – because they are special and created in the image of their god(s).
Strong Anthropic principle explained in just 3 words – “all for us” ! Imagine the rest, like 250 billion cupcakes for all of us, is yummy. 🍰 🍰 🍰
What’s that acronym again for the Completely Ridiculous Anthropic Principle?
CRAP has a nice ring to it. The weak anthropic principle (WAP) is that the universe must have properties necessary for the existence of us people. A tautology. The strong anthropic principle (SAP) says our existence is possible because of a plan. So it is teleological. There are other versions though, like CRAPY AND CRAPIER.
The weak anthropic principle is not CRAP. It’s why we can dismiss crap (note lack of capitalisation) arguments from creationists like “how come the Earth is exactly the right distance from the Sun to support life”.
Nu the way, all of maths is tautology, so don’t necessarily scoff at tautologies.
That last sentence should start “By the way…”
(Pedant alert) I do not think all math is tautology. I won’t make a lengthy argument.
1. If true, Hilbert’s goal to axiomatize math would be possible.
2. Godel’s incompleteness theorems.
Sorry but it’s true. Every mathematical theorem, including Gödel’s Incompleteness Theorem is logically deducible from a set of axioms. There’s no new information in a theorem.
Just because something is technically a tautology doesn’t make it useless.
Sounds like Jeebus needs to visit the Total Perspective Vortex. The version specially made for Zaphod, of course.
Jesus wouldn’t survive the Total Perspective Vortex in the universe created specifically for Zaphod Beeblebrox. He’s clearly not Zaphod Beeblebrox – not enough heads.
OF COURSE IT IS FOR ALL OF US!!!
