I’ve been waiting a while for this special edition of Simon’s Cat to be posted on YouTube. It’s not only the first full-length cartoon (13 minutes), but also, as I recall, the first one in color. For that, and for its content, it gets its own Caturday Felid spot.
Simon’s Cat gets his paw stung by a bee, and then it’s off to the vet for treatment. Cat-owning readers will be familiar with the rest of the drill:
All’s well that ends well.
Yep – WAY easier to get them in their carrier at the vet’s.
It is exactly like that.
And if you want to get them out to the veterinarian’s table, they crawl into the very back corner of the carrier.
For some cats acepromazine can be a big help.
Ask you vet…
ACP has sedative properties but not is not an anxiolytic. It is a harsh option for your cat and stores up worse problems for future occasions. Better options are available. Perhaps ask about benzodiazepines or pheromone products. If your cat really is unhandlable at the vets then gabapentin provides much kinder and more effective control.
Will certainly ask about other options and other items might be better depending on what one needs a drug to accomplish. Our need is not because of problems at the vets but is needed to simply get the cat into a carrier.
The use of “Jazz Hands” at the very end was perfect.
😀
so glad to make the re-acquaintance to Simon’s cat. I’ve had “Puss Wake Up” on my computer for years (the cat wielding a baseball bat is hilarious). Thanks.
Wasn’t that the very first one he ever did? Hooked me immediately!
I just wanted to take a quick look at the video, just for a first impression, but then I just could not tear myself away. So many funny moments, with a recognition effect.
