I knew it! When I posted the hilariously stupid video of Sarah Palin endorsing Donald Trump in Iowa, I asked, “Where’s Tina Fey when we need her?”
She’s here! Here’s a bit from this week’s Saturday Night Live in which Tina Fey plays Sarah Palin endorsing Donald Trump (Darrell Hammond). Her imitation of Palin is one of the best bits of mockery in our time.
They didn’t get Trump’s hair quite right, though. . .
She is brilliant. But, to be fair, Palin is a parody of herself already.
Yes. The original was already comedy perfection, right down to Trump’s frozen smile which spoke volumes.
Trump just looked at her like a lump of dog poop.
As long as Palin gets the spotlight, she doesn’t care!

I don’t deserve the credit for finding it. Like Jerry, I wrote about Palin’s endorsement of Trumo and a commenter of my site predicted a Tina Fey comeback. I asked for a link if it happened, and another NZer posted that one – we get geo-blocked all the time too!
Tina is perfect in voice and body-language. The Trump guy doesn’t get the voice quite right. Trevor Noah is much better ( but way too cute to look anything like The Donald).
You must be one of those women who flirts with Donald “unconsciously.” Because all women find him irresistible whether they know it or not.

Tina Fey is great, as always. The skit would have been better to just have allowed her the entire dialog. Hammond’s interjections killed the momentum.

I’m not sure how much longer Tina Fey can do her Sarah Palin impersonation. Palin has gone so far off the deep end, she has lost touch with any semblance of reality. How do you make fun of a public figure when that person is so mentally unhinged?
She does seem to verging on “word salad”, doesn’t she? I was thinking the same thing. Isn’t she in the latter age range for schizophrenia? I think there’s a late teens/early 20s group and a 40s (more or less) group, when it comes to age of onset.
Tina Fey’s take on it is funny, though!
I’m astounded that Trump is prepared to be endorsed by a ….woman! Good grief. He’ll be calling on immigrants next.

Agree with all who said the Trump guy was distracting, but Tina was sheer genius!
You don’t suppose Trump actually paid Palin for that endorsement, do you? I certainly believe she can be bought, cash outright, and he’s got the cash flow to do it. Sure, she might want a cabinet post, but she’s dumb like a fox and would require cash payment up front, I’m willing to bet.
One thing is certain (and this applies to both Palin and Trump), no amount of money can buy you intelligence!

I didn’t find Fey’s performance as Palin to be as funny as usual. It’s still such a great impression to watch, though.
The only reason I actually tuned in was to see how Ronda Rousey did in hosting (I’m a UFC fan). Not as bad as I thought, but she had no help from a very drab over all show.
Not as funny as the Bill Maher clip yesterday — that thing caught fire! — and not funny enough to wait up for to watch at 11:30pm. The guy impersonating Trump is so very mediocre, at no point does he threaten to create a real Trump, and he’s broad and flat and obvious, he drags Tina Fey down. She needs 15 minutes all her own, her own creative space, to do her thing and create a real performance.
Never has the adage truth being stranger than fiction been more true than in this case.
Hats off to the SNL team for a hilarious episode but I think the original is funnier (albeit scarier).

Tina Fey does a great impersonation of Palin but SNL as a whole suffers from pretty atrocious writing these days. Her previous Palin skits were far better written than this one.

Apparently, Bristol is now angry. She says it has been 7 years, so SNL must be getting desperate. I guess we can turn that logic back around on the Palins?
