It’s Thursday, with a high of 69°F predicted, and the storms will start tomorrow. But Monday, my Big Trip Day, is predicted to be fair. I have a big podcast radio interview today, but more on that later (you can listen live). In this day in 1787, the United States Constitution was signed in Philadelphia: a BIG DAY for all Americans. Meanwhile in Dobrzyn, Hili is just messing with Andrzej:
A: What are you worried about?
Hili: I’ve lost the Higgs boson somewhere.
In Polish:
Ja: Czym się tak martwisz?
Hili: Gdzieś mi się zgubił bozon Higgsa.
And here’s a bonus Hili-and-Cyrus “buddies” picture from Andrzej’s Facebook page:
I can never get enough of the Hili-&-Cyrus shots–such pals!
Of course, Little Miss Photogenic’s boson pose is equally adorable.
She looks so cute in that picture. She is sitting so neatly.
I think Hili and Cyrus are sharing sniffies.
So, this morning was the first morning since the summer that it was cool enough for a real hike in South Mountain Park. A week or two ago we snuck out for a short, easy loop…but this morning was the much more vigorous climb of the San Marcos trail, up across and down the ridgeline at the southeast end of the park. I had to set a much slower pace than where I left off before the summer…but did just fine, all things considered. And Baihu got in lots of walking and sniffing and that sort of thing in the dry creekbed at the bottom of Pima Canyon — which I think is his favorite part of the park.
It got warm at the end…he started panting the last quarter mile or so, but not enough to warrant wetting him down.
Finally!

Why does that sound so much like how I feel when the snow finally melts for good out here?
Flip side of the coin. I’m just glad I don’t have to shovel snow….

my cats are ALWAYS losing the Higgs boson . . . what the hell???
She probably didn’t really lose it – she ate it and now she’s working on her cover story. 🙂
