Fall and snow, what distant dreams! I would be grateful for overnight temperatures below 75F, but it’s not going to happen anytime soon. Perhaps I should look for cooler places to ply my trade standing on concrete floors and catering to the whims of medical students for hours at a stretch. Yes she has. Both observation and actual weighing have confirmed that she has lost her winter fat.
She slimmed down quite considerably, precisely as she did last summer. But I expect many comments over the coming winter about the need to put my Editor-in-Chief on a diet. Luckily for her, I refuse to do it. I know the summer will come and her figure will be fit for a catwalk.
Yes, she looks very svelte. Clearly, in her case at least, exercise rather than diet is the key factor.
I wouldn’t be too sure…if it truly is a seasonal variation, there could well be other factors at play.
Be interesting to see if something like that might be going on in humans, as well — do a statistical study of individual weight variation correlated with time of year, and add in things like latitude (a proxy for day length and total light) and average temperature and so on.

I’m happy the humid weather is behind me now. The only hassle is I’ve been having a migraine every day for a week. The medicine knocks them down then they come back. I suspect this is because the weather is unsettled. I’m working from home today, hoping this will kill the last migraine.
You poor thing. 🙁 it must be so draining having to deal with migraines constantly.
Yeah the migraines are a hassle & every time I get a long run of them I worry I’m going back to having them every day for years. On top of the migraines, BS doesn’t make it any better. I hate the changing weather.
