Tuesday: Hili Dialogue

June 30, 2015 • 4:06 am

Good morning! Grania here again.

It’s the last day of June, so use it wisely. It will never come again. Jerry’s already got a couple of posts scheduled for today because he is a writing machine; but he is back on the road again as his journey continues.

In the mean time we have more deep philosophical ruminations from our feline friend in Poland.

Hili: Time will tell.
A: What will time tell?
Hili: That’s what I’m trying to figure out.

Hili: Czas pokaże.
Ja: Co czas pokaże?
Hili: Właśnie, też się nad tym zastanawiam.

  1. Speaking of beloved cats, in Japan a cat called Tama died at the age of 16. She was the honorary stationmaster of Kishi station. The station was almost abandoned untill she moved in. Then people flocked to the station and it stayed open.

3000 people attended the funeral service and Tama the cat has been elevated to the status of a shinto goddess. That’s what you call a promotion: from stationmaster to goddess!

Here is the article from The Guardian. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/29/tama-the-cat-3000-attend-elaborate-funeral-for-japans-feline-stationmaster

    1. I saw that yesterday and was fascinated by it. A shinto goddess! Doesn’t she resemble the new cat at the Alamo, one Miss Isabella Francisca Veramendi de Valero? Could there be something to this re-incarnation thing? ;P

      1. I bet miss Isabella Francisca Veramendi de Valero thinks of herself a goddess regardless of reincarnation. As do all cats.

  2. Only time will tell if we can stand the test of time. (Is any forum less suited to a Van Halen quote than this website?)

  3. Whaddaya mean June 30 will never happen again? Do you know about an asteroid hurtling toward us?
