    1. It’s deliberate.

…which almost makes me wonder why she’s not having a cup of “Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.”

But I’d personally go for the espresso over the Earl Grey. Earl Gray is nice and all, but there’re lots of teas that don’t need the bergamot to be drinkable.

(I am, of course, assuming that space espresso is not to coffee what Tang was (is?) to orange juice….)

It’s a reference to an episode of Star Trek: Voyager. I believe the gist is that the ship is low on power, so Captain Janeway can’t enjoy a cup of Espresso. They spot a nebula, or something, which can be used as an energy source, and Janeway says something like “there’s coffee in that nebula!”

        1. Ah, yes. Didn’t watch much Voyager, especially after the crew “evolved” into oversized geckos, left an unintelligent new species behind, and were rescued via transporter magic.

But I do remember somebody else pointing out that quote recently….

  1. Coffee is a suspension? Well, in part, I suppose. But primarily a solution surely?
Quite what it’s the solution to … is another question.
