Life imitates art

I’ll invent a dialogue here, and since it’s mine there is no Polish translation.

Jerry: Hili, do you like this shirt with you embroidered on it?
Hili:  Yes, but it makes me look too fat.

Jerry and Hili

Embroidery by Hiroko Kubota. You can order one through her Etsy shop (GoGo5) with any animal of your choice, but be prepared to wait months, for she not only does the embroidery, but makes the shirt to your measurements.

  1. Now you’re putting words into Hili’s mouth.

Cats do not concern themselves over whether they look “too fat” or not. Extra poundage only means “well fed” — and what possible objection could a cat have with that?

Her expression alone should be enough to indicate that Hili is completely satisfied with the embroidered shirt, which is capable of hugging her.

  2. The fidelity of that embroidery really is impressive. I’d think about getting one of Baihu…but my shirts don’t tend to last all that long before there’re claw holes in the shoulders….

  3. Fat cat – an individual with large amounts of wealth and influence who is able to “live easy” off the work of others. Hmmm….

  4. What a wonderful photo! You have an awesome cat, Jerry! Love the shirt.

On another topic – what is your new book about? You keep mentioning it, but I haven’t seen any info about it. I greatly enjoyed reading your previous book – WEIT.
