Oy vey, another week—but my last week of teaching, as classes end for the year. Meanwhile, back at the cherry ranch, the standoff continues. . .
A: Hili, are you asleep?
Hili: No, I’m pretending that I’m not afraid of him.
In Polish:
Ja: Hili, śpisz?
Hili: Nie, udaję, że się go nie boję.
That d*g’s gonna nom her, I swear . . . .
Well almost a pacific scene though – at least on the same level!
Hili, how can you be afraid of Cyrus? Look at his loving eyes. He’s just itching to take your side against the evil Fitness.
Oh, and whos words are these: “That d*g’s gonna nom he, I swear . . . .”? Nom “he” a typo for “me”, or a reference to what Cyrus has in mind for Fitness?
That’s hardly a stand-off. More of a slouch-off. Cyrus looks as if he can’t wait until she accepts his love and devotion.
Beautiful picture – colors, light, animals, everything. Cyrus looks more curious than threatening, and Hili looks very relaxed!
Cyrus might just need some serious re-conditioning and very vigorous runs everyday. He could be outfitted with a small backpack and be allowed to tote things, like cherries or small garden tools. He looks like a dog who’d love to work. Some dogs need jobs. A tired dog is a pleasant dog. 🙂
That’s actually a very encouraging photo. That they can come almost nose-to-nose and Hili can remain a relaxed as that…well, I do believe the worst of the worst is past, even if there’s still a ways to go before they’re friends.

Hili says, “I’m tired of running and hiding. I need a nap.” I thought Cyrus was looking lovingly at Hili too, until I saw the human hand holding the collar. 🙂
That’s to prevent Cyrus jumping on the bed and disrupting Hili’s nap with a few loving licks.
That looks like progress! Yay!
