Because she’s on a diet, Hili hasn’t had a drop of cream in three weeks. She is suffering.

Hili: Some are economical with the truth; others are economical with the cream.

Hili: Jedni oszczędnie posługują się prawdą, a inni oszczędzają na śmietance.
*positions soapbox* *steps up*
We get the idea of feeding cats saucers of cream from children’s stories, films and cartoons. In real life, it is a bad idea to give cats milk since most of them are lactose intolerant. By giving them cream, you’re most likely giving them a tummy ache or even diarrhea. If you have to give them milk, give them cultured yogurt (the bacteria digest some of the lactose). Even then, human foods/treats should never make up more than 5-10% of their diet.
*steps down from soapbox* *puts it away for later use*
Hili only had very limited amounts of cream, and she never showed the slightest ill effect from it. As I said, she no longer gets it because of her weight. In addition, Hili gets no human food or treats.
That’s good. I wish Hili a long and happy life.:)
That description of Hili’s treats matches your own gastronomical indulgences: infrequent but treasured.
Life with nothing but treats would be unhealthy, but a life without treats would be pointless.
Here’s hoping Hili doesn’t have to wait too terribly much longer for at lest a spoonful of cream….
Cheers,
