Gorgeous footage! Don’t mean to be gross but it seems that CMEs and flares are “solar zits” of the cosmos that never quite go away.
I once downloaded NASA’s 3D Sun app by mistake (free) and enjoy the amazing hyper spectral imagery of magneto hydrodynamic explosions. It’s even worthwhile turning on push notifications for events like this.
Gee, the sun sure has lots of energy. Perhaps we should attempt to harvest it.

Rather than thinking of myself as harvesting I would more accurately think of myself as open pit mining. I see myself as the next great benevolent energy baron.
