I’m back home now, having just missed the storms in Chicago that briefly closed both airports. Here’s the sunrise that greeted me as I packed my bags for an early departure:
I always thought it was amazing that a word like ‘cowboy’ which originally was an offensive term, identifing cattle ruslers, outlaws, highwaymen and brigands has been transformed into a beloved word connoting the quintessential American in myth and substance.Isn’t Oklahoma the state where a state legislator wanted the state unversity investigated for hosting a talk by Richard Dawkins? Hmm… yes cowboy’s indeed.
