Sanborn was declared to be the oldest living person in the world on November 4, 2010. She was born July 20, 1895 (though the US Census Bureau lists her birth year as 1896). The world’s oldest woman died January 31, 2011 in her Texas home at the age of 115, her caretaker told AFP.
